What A2P 10DLC is, in plain words
A2P 10DLC (application to person, 10 digit long code) is how US carriers handle business text messages sent from regular local phone numbers. Before a business can text customers reliably, it has to register two things with The Campaign Registry (TCR) through its texting provider: the brand (your business) and the campaign (what you text people about and how they agreed to it). Texts from unregistered numbers get filtered or blocked by carriers.

Do I need A2P 10DLC registration?
Yes, if you send business texts to US phone numbers from a regular 10 digit number. That includes appointment reminders, lead follow up and marketing texts, wherever your business is based.
Can I register without an EIN?
Yes. Sole proprietor registration exists for businesses without an EIN, with lower sending limits. I'll tell you which option fits.
What happens if my texts aren't registered?
