A2P 10DLC and SMS questions, answered
What is A2P 10DLC registration?
A2P 10DLC is the system US carriers use for business texts sent from normal 10 digit phone numbers. You register your business (the brand) and what you text about (the campaign) with The Campaign Registry through your provider, such as Twilio, GoHighLevel or RingCentral. Unregistered business texts get filtered or blocked.
Why was my A2P 10DLC campaign rejected?
The usual reasons are a website missing a Privacy Policy or SMS Terms, no clear SMS consent where the phone number is collected, sample messages that don't match the use case, or business details that don't match your EIN records. Can you set up Twilio SMS for my business?
Yes. I set up Twilio numbers, messaging services, A2P registration, webhooks and the automations that send and reply to texts, then test everything end to end. More on Twilio and GoHighLevel SMS.
Do you work in GoHighLevel and LeadConnector?
Yes. I register A2P inside GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), build the workflows, missed call text back and follow up, and fix delivery problems, including for agencies with many sub accounts.
Which SMS gateway should I use: Twilio, Telnyx or LeadConnector?
If you run on GoHighLevel, LeadConnector is usually simplest. If you need custom integrations or your own app, Twilio or Telnyx give you more control. I'll recommend one based on your tools and volume.
Do I need toll free verification or 10DLC?
Both work for business texting. 10DLC suits local numbers and most small businesses, while toll free numbers need their own verification. If a toll free request keeps getting rejected, moving to 10DLC is often the faster path.
